Our Fair Use Policy exists to keep the magic flowing. If a free file draws a torrent of traffic beyond mortal reckoning (tens of terabytes), we may temporarily slow the flow of mana or restrict access to preserve balance in the realm. Don’t worry — most adventurers never encounter this limit.
The slow of the flow of mana (bandwidth) is temporary and will be lifted once traffic normalizes. The restriction of bandwith will usually go from unlimited (w/e our CDN can provide) to 500kb/s to 1MB/s
🔄 “You need not wait for the moon to change.”
Absolutely. Whether you started as a humble scribe or now walk among archmages, you can ascend tiers whenever you wish. Your plan upgrade takes effect immediately, and we ensure fair coin exchange for time unused.
⌛ “The lifetime of the realm, not the traveler.”
Yes — you may purchase a Lifetime Plan, which grants vault access for the entire lifespan of ManaStorage itself. Should the realm ever fall to ruin (unlikely, but even stars fade), the magic ends with it. Your own mortal span is not the measure.

📏 “Most scrolls are welcome — but cursed tomes and behemoth beasts beware.”
ManaStorage accepts nearly every type of file under the stars. However, for the safety of the realm, we ban cursed artifacts like malware, exploits, and forbidden scripts.
File size per upload depends on your tier — higher tiers allow larger tomes to pass. For most users, even ancient grimoires will fit.
We currently do not accept uploads of the following unless they are compressed (Zip, 7zip, rar, Gzip, tar,)

⏳ “As long as your torch is lit, your scrolls remain untouched.”
Files in free accounts do not expire… unless you vanish. If your account lies dormant for over three moons (90 days), we’ll send you magical warnings. If still inactive, your vault may be sealed and its contents lost to the wind.
To keep your trove safe, simply log in now and then.
Free users can upload a file for no longer than 1 year. After 1 year the link will expire. We are working on a way for free users to renew their links towards the end of that files life. Should come in version 2.1
🗃️ “Even the most powerful spellcasters must honor the Recycle Ward.”
This depends on how you deleted the file:
- If you created a 1 time download and someone already downloaded the file, the file is deleted and is not recoverable.
- If you uploaded a file and deleted it from your files it maybe recovered but in a verys short time window. The faster your contact support the faster we may be able to recover it.
- You uploaded a file with an auto delete timer. The timer has expired and the file has been deleted. We are not able to recover files from this.
- My file was removed due to copyrights, DMCA, or illegal content. The file in question cannot be recovered.
Why are you able to recover files from my files but not from anything else?
When you delete a file from my files the links to those files are removed and the file is marked for deletion in the database. Depending on current IO load, the file may sit for a couple hours before it is deleted by a schedulor. We are introducing folders and trash to the user portal in version 2.1. The way files are removed will change slightly based on user action.
🌐 “Whisper a link, and the scroll appears.”
Yes — select tiers support Remote Uploads (API), allowing you to import files straight from distant lands (URLs). Whether you found a tome in a public archive or a rune in a distant server, you can pull it directly into your vault — no downloading or reuploading needed.
Please note that pulling a distant file from another server is not built directly into the platform. You would have to script that yourself via the api.
🌐 “The realm speaks many tongues — we ask only to know yours.”
We ask for your country to help us speak the right language, offer relevant features, and keep the portal experience smooth. We don’t use it for taxes, tracking, or tributes — just to translate your journey accordingly.
We don't support every language yet but we are working on it!
📨 “Before you enter the vault, we must confirm your rune of contact.”
Yes. A magical confirmation scroll will be sent to your inbox during signup. Verifying it unlocks your vault and ensures we can reach you if your account ever falls under a fog of forgetfulness.
🧹 “Should you wish to leave the realm, we won’t bind your soul.”
To delete your account, visit your Account Settings and find the “Close Portal” option. This will permanently erase your vault and files. If you need help, our Support Mages will assist you in parting gracefully.
🗺️ “Mana flows in many tongues.”
Yes! ManaStorage is being translated into multiple languages by the scribes of the realm. While English is our native chant, new tongues are being woven as fast as our translators can enchant them.
