Once a file is deleted from our site it is gone forever. In a future update we plan to enable a recycling bin for paid users.

ManaStorage is located in the United States. Depending on where you are located, your file may be uploaded to a local server in your country.

An account can become locked for a variety of reasons:

  • Uploading illegal content
  • Over the allocated storage space
  • Credential Stuffing (Account hacked)
  • Billing Issues

If your account has been locked please Contact Us immediately for support.

When you exceed your storage limit, you will not be able to add more files to your account. This means that various features will stop working:

  • You can no longer upload, copy or import files to your account.
  • You can no longer post new files to chats.

How do I resolve this?

You can remedy the situation by either deleting data or upgrading your account.

You have to upgrade to a plan that has higher storage limits than the amount of data you have stored.

What happens if I stay over my storage limit?

If you exceed your storage limit, ManasStorage will notify you through email to let you know your storage is full and that certain actions, such as uploading files, will no longer be possible.

If your account remains over the limit for 30 days, it will be locked. While locked, you’ll have view-only access to your data and won’t be able to delete or download files. To regain full access, you’ll need to upgrade to a plan with a higher storage limit than the data you currently have stored.

Your account will remain locked for an additional 45 days. During this time, we’ll continue to send reminders. If no action is taken to resolve the issue by the end of this period, your data will be deleted.

We protect your data through a three-tiered storage realm:

  • Fast Tier (The Swift Keep): Your most active files reside here, replicated instantly across multiple regions, ensuring speed and resilience. Even if one fortress falls, another already stands guard.

  • Warm Tier (The Archive Halls): Files you visit less often are kept here, backed up in a second secure location. They rest safely, ready to be summoned when needed.

  • Cold Tier (The Deep Vaults): Files untouched for ages are preserved in long-term storage, with copies secured in a distant datacenter — a failsafe against even the harshest storms.

In every tier, your data is protected with encryption and redundancy, ensuring that no matter how rarely you access it, it remains safe, sound, and ready for your call.

💤 Dormant Magic: How Inactivity Affects Your Vault

Your free scroll-keeper’s account at ManaStorage does not expire—but like all magic, it must be stirred from time to time. To keep your vault active and your files secure, simply log in at least once every three moons (that’s every three months in mundane terms).

🧭 How do I keep my vault active?

To keep your account charged with arcane energy, just:

🔓 Log into ManaStorage — via our website or any of our enchanted portals (apps).

📅 Do this once every 3 months to ensure your scrolls remain untouched.

That’s it. One login keeps the glyphs glowing.

⚠️ What if I don’t return?

If your presence fades for more than three moons:

  • 🕯️ Your account is marked inactive

  • 📨 You’ll receive several warning missives via email

  • 🗑️ If silence continues, your vault—and the scrolls within—may be marked for ritual deletion

But fear not: logging in once resets the enchantment and keeps your treasures intact.

Yes — all your files are protected by modern encryption spells, both while traveling through the Aether (in transit) and while resting in our enchanted archives (at rest). We use strong magical ciphers (AES-256 and TLS 1.3) to shield your data from prying eyes, just like a vault warded against scrying.

🛡️ “Only those with the sacred key and the guardian’s token may pass.”

Yes, you can enable 2FA to guard your account with an extra layer of magical security. We support email-based and SMS-based codes — but don’t worry, your phone number is only required if you choose the SMS path through the woods.

Please note that we have disabled SMS for the time being. We are working on passkeys and a fully compliant FIDO implementation. Check the roadmap/timeline for more information.

📜 “Not all scrolls are meant for every traveler.”

Indeed! You may create enchanted links with optional password protection, expiration timers, or one-time access spells to ensure only the right soul receives your treasure. Share wisely, traveler.

To password protect a file drop the file in the upload window and click on the padlock icon to set a password. 

🔮 “Your secrets are your own. We are merely the vault-keepers.”

ManaStorage does not sell, barter, or otherwise meddle in the contents of your vault. We do not scan or index your files for profit. What you store remains yours — and yours alone — behind closed and silent stone.

There are exception when we recieve DMCA requests (We may remove a file) but otherwise we do not sell your information.

Yes, plans can be downgraded but there are somethings to keep in mind:

  • You cannot downgrade your plan if your current storage usage is larger than the plan you wish to migrate down to.
  • Currently the only way to downgrade is to contact support. We plan on introducing user enacted downgrades in version 2.1
